Ok so my normal league is finally going to do a live draft this year. (Saturday) We are also going to make it a 1 player keeper league. Everyone is available for this year. I do not know what number pick I have and I won't know until we get their on draft day. Questions...

1. This is a legitimate league and will be a long standing league should I think rookie with my first pick? McFadden or one of the other backs so I can keep him.

2. I'm thinking QB is th best best. QB's tend to stay with their teams. I of course am talking about my first pick so like a tom brady in a keeper league is more valuable than say perhaps an LT? Because less risk of injury, Pats dont look to be bad in a while etc...

3. Should I axe the keeper idea basically not even think about it until after the season thn keep someone.

4. Isnt it true QB's last year and in previous years have become increasingly more valuable than RB's? So I should go QB unless i have the number 1 pick in which i would take LT.

1) Don't reach too far. Adrian Peterson probably should be the top pick in your draft this year but I would definitely not take McFadden over LT or Addai. Remember Reggie Bush? McFadden might have an even worse offensive line... Your pick has to be 75% best player 25% keeper status. Don't reach on a guy like runDMC.

2) RBs are more important than QBs even in keeper leagues. Try and get a Jay Cutler after a few rounds.

3) You should definitely consider it but don't let it determine how you draft based solely on it. If you had to choose between Jay Cutler and Brett Favre, obviously go Cutler. If you had to choose between Jay Cutler and Peyton Manning, going with Peyton should be the obvious choice even though he's older and only has a few years left. Your first pick (which should be RB) is likely to be your keeper. Addai is probably a top 3 keeper league pick at this point.

4) In a league where QB touchdowns are the same as RBs, it's probable the QB puts up bigger numbers than the RBs. That being said, it's also much easier to find a decent QB in the later rounds as opposed to finding a good RB in the later rounds. Running backs are at a premium and are also the most consistent fantasy performers. Taking a QB in the first round would definitely not be anything I'd try to do.
